For game and app developers expanding globally, monetization is no longer simply about choosing an ad network.
A game may generate revenue through multiple ad networks, including Google AdSense, AdMob, AppLovin, Unity Ads, Mintegral, Liftoff Monetize, BIGO Ads and Yandex Ads. Meanwhile, Google Play and App Store can create additional revenue streams.
As developers enter more markets and diversify their monetization channels, the revenue structure becomes increasingly fragmented:
More markets → More platforms → More settlement accounts → More complex collection needs
The challenge is no longer just how to monetize users. It is how to efficiently collect, consolidate and manage the revenue generated across multiple platforms and markets.

There is no single advertising network that performs equally well across every market.
According to TopOn’s H1 2026 mobile advertising monetization data, platform performance varies significantly across regions and operating systems. The data shows that leading monetization platforms can differ substantially depending on the market and device.
In Europe and the U.S., AdMob remains a major source of mobile advertising revenue. On Android, AdMob contributed 36.21%, followed by Meta at 17.46%, Mintegral at 15.55%, and BIGO at 11.97%. On iOS, AdMob accounted for 46.66%, while Liftoff Monetize reached 20.51%.
Latin America has a more diversified platform mix. On Android, Pangle and AdMob contributed 29.28% and 29.19%, respectively, while Meta and Kwai Network also played important roles. Mintegral, BIGO, AppLovin and TopOn ADX provided additional sources of demand.
In Southeast Asia, Pangle led Android monetization with a 32.30% revenue contribution, followed by AdMob at 26.68%. On iOS, AdMob led with 34.84%, followed by Pangle at 29.41% and Liftoff Monetize at 21.82%.
Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan show a more concentrated platform mix. On Android, AdMob accounted for 50.25% of advertising revenue, followed by Meta at 18.38% and Pangle at 15.61%. On iOS, AdMob remained the leading platform at 40.78%, followed by Pangle at 24.79% and Liftoff Monetize at 16.28%.
The takeaway is clear: global monetization requires a regional strategy.
Platform performance can vary by:
Market
Operating system
User profile
Ad format
eCPM and fill rate
For developers operating across multiple markets, combining different demand sources can be more effective than relying on a single global network.
As developers add more advertising networks, another question becomes important: how should these networks be managed?
Mediation platforms such as TopOn, AppLovin MAX and Unity LevelPlay help developers manage multiple demand sources and optimize which network receives an ad request.
But mediation does not replace individual ad networks.
Ad networks provide advertising demand and monetize developer traffic. Examples include AdMob, AppLovin, Unity Ads, Mintegral, Liftoff Monetize, BIGO Ads and Yandex Ads.
Mediation platforms sit between the developer and multiple demand sources, helping optimize ad delivery and monetization performance.
A typical setup looks like:
Developer → Mediation → Multiple Ad Networks → Advertisers
This can simplify the ad monetization workflow, but it does not necessarily consolidate the financial relationships behind each platform.
Each advertising network or platform may still have its own:
Account → Settlement Requirements → Currency → Payment Schedule
The same applies to revenue from Google Play, the App Store and Google AdSense.
In other words, mediation helps developers optimize how revenue is generated, but it does not necessarily solve how that revenue is collected, consolidated and managed.
Consider a game publisher operating across Southeast Asia, Latin America and Europe.
Its revenue may come from:
AdMob + AppLovin + Unity Ads + Mintegral + BIGO + Yandex
alongside:
Google Play + App Store + AdSense
Each platform may have different settlement requirements, currencies and payment schedules.
Depending on the platform and settlement setup, a global developer may need to manage multiple platform-specific accounts or payment arrangements.
The financial workflow can quickly become:
Multiple Platforms → Multiple Settlement Arrangements → Multiple Currencies → Reconciliation → Fund Consolidation → Global Payments
At scale, this becomes a treasury and operations problem—not just a monetization problem.
Developers may need to:
Collect revenue from different platforms
Consolidate funds across accounts
Manage multiple currencies
Pay overseas suppliers
Cover cloud infrastructure expenses
Pay advertising and user-acquisition costs
Manage affiliate and partner payments
The more markets and platforms a business operates across, the more important it becomes to have a centralized view of global revenue and funds.
This is where payment infrastructure becomes part of the monetization stack.
For global developers, the goal is not to replace each platform's own settlement process. Instead, businesses need a way to connect independent platform collections with centralized financial management.
With Pyvio, developers can configure collection accounts according to the settlement requirements of different platforms. Revenue from different sources can then be viewed, consolidated and managed centrally, helping businesses handle the complexity of multiple platforms, accounts and currencies.
Beyond collection, Pyvio supports broader global payment operations, including multi-currency fund management, overseas payouts and business payments.
For businesses operating multiple apps, advertising networks and overseas markets, this provides a financial layer between global monetization and day-to-day business operations.
This creates a more connected workflow:
Platform Revenue → Collection → Centralized Fund Management → Global Payments
For a developer expanding internationally, the objective is not simply to maximize advertising revenue.
It is to make that revenue accessible, manageable and usable across markets.
Global app monetization is becoming increasingly international—and increasingly fragmented.
The growth model is no longer simply:
Acquire Users → Show Ads → Earn Revenue
It is becoming:
Acquire Users → Monetize Across Multiple Platforms → Collect Globally → Consolidate Funds → Pay Globally
Ad networks help developers monetize users.
Mediation platforms help optimize the advertising stack.
Payment infrastructure connects the revenue generated across markets with the financial operations required to run a global business.
For developers scaling internationally, monetization does not end when revenue is generated.
It ends when that revenue can be efficiently collected, managed and deployed across markets.
